FileCloud is a global and remote company, with employees from over 20 countries around the world. Because of this, we understand the importance of having an IT stack that work well, regardless of the device used to access it. FileCloud is built around device-agnostic accessibility for file sharing and synchronization, with full functionality across laptops, desktops, tablets (smart pads), and mobile phones.
We never stop improving either, continuously striving to make FileCloud a product that people actually want to use, supporting collaboration, efficiency, and security throughout the file management life cycle. That’s why with our 23.241 release, we’ve made some improvements to our mobile apps.
We've included enhancements across several functionalities with our FileCloud iOS mobile app. Read below for a quick review of what's changed.
We've updated the iOS manage share functionality, so now you can manage shares right from your mobile app, instead of having to log on to your computer.
You can now see the users and groups who have shared, which provides a full view of shares and who can access what.
Users can now sync data between the server and their iOS device, either two-way or one-way, enabling background downloading and uploading. Additionally, we have included an icon to indicate which folders have been synced.
Our team has improved the UI to bring the inner workings of offline sync to the forefront, rather than keeping sync activities hidden in the background. Clicking on the sync icon will take the user to the file operations pane. There, the app displays all syncs and their statuses, along with log-based info and a summary. Users can also view the sub-folders and files synced, warnings, and errors. Users can also filter to easily locate files.
We’ve also improved our scanning functionality for iOS. The scan function is now more reliable, and users have new and updated options to choose from like:
Users can also see how many scans they've processed, as well as what to name a scan prior to upload.
Multiple scans will be uploaded in a single file, but if scanning just one item, users can choose whether to upload the file as a JPEG or a PDF file type.
