This functionality allows the administrator to specify custom permissions inside Team Folders for each file.<\/p>\n<p>To explain, let\u2019s use an example: a company has a Team Folder called \u201cCustomers\u201d. Inside this main folder, it has one folder per customer, with the following structure:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31051 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filecloud.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/MFP_JPG1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"644\" height=\"456\"><\/p>\n<p>In the \u201cCustomers\u201d folder, the company wants to grant these permissions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sales Team Manager will have access to the \u201cCustomers\u201d folder, with all file operations (view, download, upload, share, and delete).<\/li>\n<li>Sales Team will have access to the \u201cCustomers\u201d folder, with all file operations (view, download, upload, share, and delete), <em>apart from subfolder \u201cCustomer 05\u201d.<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li>In this folder, the Sales Team should not have access to any file operations (view, download, upload, share, or delete), as the Sales Manager wants this information to be kept private.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To accomplish this, the administrator can do the following:<br \/>\n1. Share the Customers\u2019 Team Folder with the Sales Team.<br \/>\n2. Share Customers\u2019 Team Folder with the Sales Team<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>From the admin portal, in the Team Folders section, select the \u201cCustomers\u201d Team Folder. Then click \u201cManage\u201d to share it with the Sales Team.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31054 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filecloud.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/MFP_JPG2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"644\" height=\"456\"><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Edit_Folder_Permissions_for_%E2%80%9CCustomer_05%E2%80%9D\"><\/span>2. Edit Folder Permissions for \u201cCustomer 05\u201d<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In the Team Folder section, select the \u201cCustomer 05\u201d folder and click on \u201cPermissions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31060 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filecloud.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/MFP_JPG3-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"644\" height=\"456\"><\/p>\n<p>When you open the Permissions section, add the \u201cSales\u201d group; by default, it will grant all the file operation permissions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31063 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filecloud.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/MFP_JPG4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"644\" height=\"456\"><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>To block these operations, click on every green checkbox from right to left; they will turn into an \u201cx\u201d. This change blocks all operations to the Sales Team. To allow the team manager \u201cJohn Doe\u201d to perform all operations, add the correct User in the Folder Permissions section and grant all access to \u201cJohn Doe\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31066 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.filecloud.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/MFP_JPG5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"644\" height=\"456\"><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Close the Folder Permission window. All permissions are saved.
