FileCloud Community Edition

FileCloud Community Edition is available from version 19.3 onwards.


FileCloud Community Edition is a home or business version of FileCloud that includes up to 5 Full users and up to 10 External users who can access FileCloud via desktop, mobile app, or web portal. FileCloud Community Edition is self-hosted on-premise in Windows, Linux, or your preferred IaaS provider (AWS, Azure). When you register for Community Edition, you are given a free 1-year license.

Community Edition comes with many of the standard features of FileCloud Server, including:

  • Network Folders
  • Shared Files and Folders
  • Folder Access Permission Control
  • Device Management
  • Audit Logs
  • Federated Search
  • Customized URL
  • And many more.

Features not included with Community Edition

Certain features in the standard edition of FileCloud Server are not available in Community Edition.

Features that are not included in Community Edition:

  • Data Governance (including Smart DLP, Smart Classification, Retention Policies, and the Governance Dashboard)
  • Single Sign-On (SSO)
  • Content (OCR) Search
  • ServerSync
  • Third-party integrations (AV, SalesForce, SIEM, etc.)
  • SMS Authentication
  • Multi-tenancy
  • Zero-trust File SharingSM
