Translations
FileCloud uses .po files to store language strings. The default .po file is in English. eg:english.po
Where to find the translation files?
Admin Translation file location
- Windows: XAMPP DIR/htdocs/resources/translations/adminui
- Linux: /var/www/resources/translations/adminui
User Translation file location
- Windows: XAMPP DIR/htdocs/resources/translations/ui
- Linux: /var/www/resources/translations/ui
How to open and edit the .po file?
- Install PoEdit: Download poEdit (if running Windows, just get the simple installer version) and install it. Download Link (http://www.poedit.net)
- Once you have successfully installed PoEdit. Navigate to the translation file location, and open the po file.
To edit the already existing po file follow the steps below.
- Open the po file, add the translated string in the Translation field and save it.
- After successfully editing the po file, now login into the Admin or User UI change language and verify if the changes are applied.
How to create a new translation file?
- Create a copy of english.po file for admin and user site. (Please see above to know the location )
- Now rename the copy file name to the name of the language you want. eg: dutch.po
- Follow 'How to open and edit the .po file?', above.
