FAT, FAT32, NTFS, HFS+, ext2, and ext3 are supported on the TonidoPlug. Recent versions of TonidoPlugs .  TonidoPlug 1 recognize HFS drives, but they are not mounted automatically. The user would have to mount them manually.

You Yes; you can use a USB hub with your TonidoPlug and you can attach multiple hard drives. TonidoPlug will automatically identify those drives. We each device connected to the hub. For best compatibility, we recommend using a powered USB hub.

How do I know if TonidoPlug will work with my home/company network?

TonidoPlug works with most of home routers and home network setups. You don't have to configure anything in your home or company network to make it work including remote access's remote access features work right out of the box; there are no complicated configuration changes to make. The only requirement is that you will have to allow outgoing UDP/TCP connections (, which is allowed by default ) in 99% of the networks.

Do I need to buy any additional software with my TonidoPlug?

No. Your plug comes with a complete set of browser-based Tonido applications:   Explorer, Search,   WebsharePro, Sync. The TonidoPlug also comes with a software application that helps you manage your device and network settings as well as set up network-accessible shares., and more. You can use TonidoPlug Admin to manage your storage devices and change network settings.

Yes, once . Once you create a profile on Tonido account for your TonidoPlug during the setup, you can access your TonidoPlug it from any web browser with a URL by browsing to http://<yourprofilename<accountname>.tonidoid.tonioid.com>/com.

You can also access your TonidoPlug with the Tonido smartphone app.

Except for Other than your Tonido User ID for identification account's name and your TonidoPlug's MAC address for locating your TonidoPlug on a home network, which is used to locate it when you browse to http://<accountname>.tonidoid.com, CodeLathe doesn’t store any user information (not even on its servers, including your password) on our servers. Your communications, files, and data are private and kept private because they're all stored on your device at all times. Shared files always stay TonidoPlug.
