FileCloud is excited to announce that current customers can sign up to deploy and test the beta version of our FileCloud Desktop client. This is a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to deliver top-tier file management and collaboration tools to our users. We invite you to join us on this journey. Here's everything you need to know about FileCloud Desktop beta.

FileCloud Desktop Beta

FileCloud Desktop is an all-in-one desktop client designed for fast, efficient file synchronization and drive access. Currently available for MacOS (with Windows support on the horizon), it's a powerful tool that allows you to map FileCloud as a desktop drive for secure access without the need to download files. This unique feature not only saves you valuable storage space but also provides a seamless, intuitive user experience.

Streamlined File Management

A standout feature of FileCloud Desktop is its comprehensive suite of file management capabilities. It empowers users to read, write, and save files directly via the Desktop client, offering a holistic solution for all your file management requirements. With FileCloud Desktop, you have total control over your files.

Secure Local Access

Local access is another key feature that sets FileCloud Desktop apart. By facilitating local file access via real-time cloud sync, FileCloud Desktop significantly reduces latency and improves performance. This means faster, more efficient file management, allowing you to get more done in less time.

Automatic File Locking

But that's not all. FileCloud Desktop also includes an automatic file locking feature. When you open a file, it's automatically locked to reduce the risk of file change conflicts. Once you close the file, it's automatically unlocked. This ensures the integrity of your files and prevents accidental overwrites, especially useful for files at the center of a major, collaborative project with many contributors.

Unlimited File Versioning

For those who need to keep track of file versions, FileCloud Desktop has you covered. It offers unlimited file versioning, allowing you to revert files to previous versions as needed. There's no limit on version history, so you can always access a previous version of a file you need.

Real-time File Editing

Last but certainly not least, FileCloud Desktop supports real-time file editing and collaboration. With desktop editing and sync, you can collaborate on files in real-time with your team members, making coordination a breeze. This is particularly beneficial for remote teams, supporting efficient, seamless collaboration, regardless of geographical location.
