Ray Downes
CEO
Ray Downes was Chief Executive Officer of Kemp from 2012 to 2021. During his time at Kemp, he oversaw the transformation of the company from niche load balancing/application delivery product into category leadership of the rapidly growing “Application Experience” (AX) market. Throughout this period, the company grew from > $10M to over $70M annual revenues and from 30 employees to over 300, completing two acquisitions along the way (Flowmon Networks & Lithops).
Ray initially joined the company in 2010 to work with the founders. He was elevated to CEO in early 2012 following a change in ownership to a consortium of expansion stage Venture Capital firms. In 2019 Kemp was acquired by Mill Point Capital, a New York based private equity firm focusing on strategic and operational enhancement of strong, profitable, growth companies. In November 2021, it was announced by Progress Software (NASDAQ: PRGS) that they had completed the acquisition of Kemp for $258M all-cash deal. Progress provides a suite of products to develop, deploy and manage high-impact business applications.
Prior to Kemp, Ray held several executive leadership positions including with global networking technology companies like Cabletron Systems and Enterasys Networks. From 2002-2010, Ray co-founded Arrosys, a European-based Sales & Marketing consultancy which specialized in efficiently launching expansion stage technology companies into European Sales markets. Educated in his native Ireland at the Limerick Institute of Technology, Ray and his wife Janet reside on Long Island, New York.
Peter Melerud

A 30-year IT industry innovator and entrepreneur, Peter Melerud has served a broad range of customer segments with a focus on delivering exceptional value through disruptive technology. Throughout his career, Peter has blended a deep understanding of data center infrastructure and application delivery technologies with innovative go-to-market strategies that has resulted in rapid customer adoption and revenue growth.
As co-founder of Kemp in 2003, Peter was instrumental in leading the Kemp business from incubation to one of the most disruptive players in application experience (AX), through to the companies eventual sale to Progress Software for $258M which closed in November 2021 . He has navigated product management, business development, sales, marketing, and customer success programs that have translated into continuous year-over-year growth, profitability, and pioneering the new horizon of how enterprises and cloud providers deliver and secure their applications. Serving as chief strategy officer for Kemp, Peter develops, executes and sustains corporate strategic initiatives with a particular focus on go-to-market, product strategy, corporate development, as well as establishing key technology alliances.
Prior to Kemp, Peter has worked in various sales and engineering leadership roles for EIA, Orange Business Services and Netlan. Peter splits his time between The USA and Ireland where he and his wife Lora have homes.
George Lo
CFO
George Lo is the Chief Financial Officer at FileCloud overseeing the company’s global financial and operational functions. With more than two decades of financial management expertise, he is responsible for all aspects of FileCloud’s financial reporting, tax compliance, analytics, human resources, legal, corporate development, strategic planning, and internal control.
Prior to joining FileCloud, George served as Chief Financial Officer at Kemp Technologies, a global Application Experience leader, and completed two consecutive successful exits, one with a New York private equity firm, Mill Point Capital, and another to NASDAQ publicly traded company, Progress Software (PRGS), both represented significant returns to the shareholders.
Prior to Kemp, George was Director of Finance at a boutique global consulting firm, SmartAnalyst, an Edison Partners portfolio, from 2009 to 2013, where he managed subsidiaries in both UK and India from New York. Prior to that he started his career in the US first as Internal Auditor then Accounting Manager at MRBI, one of the top US media conglomerates specializing in radio and television broadcasting and participated in a $170 million acquisition from Scripps Networks. Prior to coming to the US, he worked five years in Taiwan with a local advertising firm and contributed driving the company for over 1,100% growth until he decided to pursue further education in the US.
George holds an M.B.A. graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of California and is a Certified Public Accountant. He was named CFO of the Year by Edison Partners in 2019.
Jason Dover

Jason Dover has over 15 years of technology leadership experience working across enterprise organizations. At NYSE Euronext, he led systems integration projects with Liffe, AEMS, AMEX and Euronext. At Deutsche Bank, he was responsible for management of the entire messaging ecosystem and supporting a global enterprise technologies services re-architecture and migration to HP management.
At Kemp Technologies, he held various roles across sales, marketing, product and strategy, leading to the creation of a $10M+ strategic partner business with Dell, the acquisition and integration of Flowmon Networks and the strategic acquisition of Kemp by Progress Software. At Progress, he led Product portfolio integration, worked on business unit M&A initiatives, coordinated emerging technologies development and created a newly integrated ~$100M product family as VP of Product Strategy. Currently, Jason serves as Chief Product Officer, responsible for overall product direction, strategic technology partnerships and M&A activity.
Leigh Bradford
SVP, Global Sales
Leigh Bradford is the SVP of Global Sales at FileCloud. Previously, he spent 10 years at Kemp leading the EMEA and APAC sales teams and was accountable for over 50% of global revenues. During his time at Kemp, his successes were underpinned by building and managing highly productive channel relationships throughout Europe, Middle East, APAC and ANZ before exiting in 2022 as part of a successful company sale to Progress.
With over 25 years of experience in Technology Sales Leigh has held sales leadership and enterprise sales roles in vendors including Radware and Zeus and, earlier in his career, in VAR’s and Distribution. With a focus on large enterprise organizations, he has secured large deal wins in BBC, Disney, Plusnet, ARM Holdings and Natwest and in recent years has gained experience leading diverse multi-country sales teams.
A family man outside of work, Leigh and his children have season tickets at Ipswich Town FC. In the summer months, he enjoys going to the cricket and spending time out walking with his dogs.
Derry Heraty
SVP, Customer Operations
Derry is the SVP of Customer Operations at Filecloud. In his role he oversees all aspects of customer operations – including Customer Success and Customer Support – and associated tool chains to drive customer retention and business expansion.
Prior to joining the FileCloud leadership team, Derry was helping the organization in a consulting capacity for almost 2 years, primarily helping the Revenue team to deploy enterprise grade sales processes and supporting tools. Leveraging a 30+ year career in sales and sales operations, Derry has been running a successful consulting business for the past 8 years, helping companies (such as Kemp Technologies, now Progress) of all sizes to improve their operational structures and tooling. He has led and collaborated effectively with teams across multiple geographies and business functions to deliver multi-million dollar cost savings and/or significantly improved sales productivity through process optimization, automation and analytics.
Away from work, Derry is a father to 2 daughters and is a keen (if not very good!) golfer.
