Team Folders as Network Drive Folders

With FileCloud, remote files stored on the server are made available as if they were stored in the local drive on your computer. You can manually map the contents of your FileCloud storage as a network drive through the straightforward, one-time process of mounting.

The network drive maps to your on-premises server, which can be a LAN or NAS device that directly connects to the Internet. Are network drives secure?

With network drives, security can be a concern because the drives are shared by so many people. However, you can configure security by accessing the network drive’s sharing settings. Advanced sharing settings have the option to remove and deny access to users that should no longer have access to the drive.

Why do network drives disappear?

Network drives can disappear because your network or computer speed is slow, and a network drive might not show as connected. Logging off, then logging back in, might fix the problem. Windows 8/10 also has a bug in it that can cause network drives to stop displaying though they’re still there.

Why do network drives keep disconnecting?

There can various reasons that network drives disconnect. It may be a simple issue, such as a user forgetting to select the Reconnect at Logon option when mapping the network drive. Try mapping the drive again, and then selecting the option to reconnect.
