FileCloud online preserves Microsoft Office metadata by importing these tags along with the file when it is uploaded. There is no limit on the number of custom metadata rules. Additionally, these rules can be used to leverage other advanced features like FileCloud’s classification engine and Data Leak Protection policies. FileCloud Online Workflows & Integrated Actions

Automated workflows are becoming an increasingly important aspect of data and file management. FileCloud Online’s integrated workflows are an amazing tool that reduces the burden of connecting people with data. Users can set up a series of if/then conditions pertaining to a specific file or folder in their account. These workflows can also be triggered by a specified activity, such as the addition or creation of a new file, a user-initiated share of a file, sharing activity of a file, or a time-based event.

It’s easy to set up, run, or modify workflows through the tab in the user portal. Once inside a workflow, users can edit, update, expand, or even delete steps thanks to the user-friendly, drag-and-drop interface. FileCloud Online includes pre-set variables inside the workflows, but users can also create their own to suit their unique needs! Automated workflows are flexible and responsive, updating automatically to make logical connections, which ensures operations remain seamless.

Automated workflows also include a new tab in the user portal: “Actions.” This tab shows users if their attention is required to complete a workflow. For example, if the next step ip a workflow is for a document to be approved, that user will receive a notification update prompting them to take action. This can either be done directly through the notification or by going to the Actions tab directly. The automated workflow takes care of the rest.

Compliance Center

FileCloud Online (Enterprise) provides admins and users with a robust and secure solution for file storage, sharing, and syncing. This solution removes the stress from the process of maintaining a compliant cloud storage infrastructure thanks to the innovative Compliance Center. Users and admins can see a running summary of file and folder activity, with potential violations flagged for review. By clicking on specified tabs for Regulations, users can also activate sets of policies, audits, and reports that will collectively ensure compliance requirements are met.
